We only have 22 days left until the 2026 Democratic Primary in Illinois on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026! Our entire team has been busy working to get Dylan, a working class fighter, elected to US Congress. In this newsletter, we’ll cover what Dylan has been up to, along with some upcoming events in District 13.

Dylan spoke with Gillespie community members at our Gillespie Town Hall on February 3rd.
An Overview:
Knocking Doors
Dylan and our awesome team have been hard at work knocking doors all over the district, from the northeast of the district in Champaign-Urbana all the way down to Belleville. Sign up for a door knocking shift near you here.
Phone Banking
Our team has been calling Democratic voters 7x a week to reach as many people as possible before the March 17th primary. Sign up for a virtual phone banking shift here (no experience necessary).
Town Halls
The last stop in our Town Hall series before February comes to a close will be in Champaign-Urbana and will take place on Saturday, February 28th. At the start of March, we’ll continue Town Hall events in Carlinville and Springfield on March 2nd and March 4th, respectively. Find a Town Hall event near you here.

Dylan hosted and spoke at the event, “A Discussion on ICE” on February 11th.
Show your support while hanging out with Dylan and friends
Want to door knock with the candidate himself? Dylan will be door knocking in Edwardsville this Wednesday, February 25th from 3 to 5 PM and in Springfield with the Democratic Candidate for Sangamon County Board in District 18, Miguel Valente, on Sunday, March 1st from 1 to 3 PM. Sign up for Edwardsville here or Springfield here.

Dylan attended a protest in Alton earlier this month.
Early voting started on February 5th. It’s crunch time, and we could really use your help. Many voters in District 13 either vote by mail or through early voting, which means it’s vitally important to reach them as soon as possible through door knocking and phone banking.
Every donation we receive will help us afford to buy yard signs and literature, pay our wonderful staff, and reach voters in as many ways as we can. Together, we can build an America that’s affordable for all Americans, with a government that’s truly accountable to the people.
Upcoming Events
Mutual Aid Events
Following a town hall with YDSA tomorrow, February 23rd, Dylan Blaha is partnering with UIUC Left Wing Students for Change for a mutual aid event in the Champaign-Urbana community from 7 to 8 PM.
Then, on February 26th, Dylan will join SIUE College Democrats for a mutual aid event in the Edwardsville community from 5 to 6:30 PM.
Dylan and other participants in these mutual aid events will fill ‘Grab Bags’ with food, drinks, and hygiene items to be distributed to mutual aid pantries (sometimes called Blessing Boxes) throughout their communities. Examples of bag contents may include: water bottles, snacks (such as chips, granola bars, dried fruit, nuts, etc.), tissues, wipes, and other items that our community members need.
Thanks to community members like you, the CU event’s funding goal has been met, but we still need help with Edwardsville. Please donate what you can to help maximize our aid to families in need. We are hoping to raise at least $500 for this event. Any contributions made through this form that exceed the amount needed to fund this project will be used to assist with other projects and programs to help community members in the metro east.
Town Halls
Dylan will host a Town Hall in Urbana on February 28th at the Independent Media Center from 1 to 2:30 PM. Other Town Hall events to look forward to are coming up in Springfield on March 2nd and in Carlinville on March 4th.
Whether you want to help Dylan get into office or you’re just looking to learn more about who he is and what he stands for, this is the perfect opportunity.
Candidate Forums
Dylan will participate in a candidate forum on February 25th from 7 to 9 PM at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville, hosted by the League of Women Voters Edwardsville Area.
His opponent has declined to attend this forum, which will include questions from the audience. However, she may still agree to attend a future town hall in Champaign-Urbana, hosted by the Champaign County League of Women Voters. This town hall would not include a live audience or questions from the audience.
Election Day
Want to volunteer for our campaign for the primary on March 17th? We need plenty of volunteers to staff election sites. If interested, please send an email to [email protected] to learn more.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our grassroots, people-first campaign!
Warm regards,
Team Dylan
